How To Play Blackjack

If you have never played blackjack before - here you will learn how to play blackjack and you will do so fast and without any frills. The game of blackjack is the most popular table game at any casino, online or offline, and there are tow main reasons for this - it's very easy to learn how to play blackjack and the house advantage of this casino game is very small. There is no wonder that if you walk into a land-based casino all the blackjack tables will likely be full. Thankfully there is no such issue with the online casinos - there is always a seat open for you. So, let's look at how to play blackjack:

The game of blackjack is played with a predetermined number of card decks (how many it depends on the casino). The goal of the game is to either get 21 or s close as possible to 21, without going over and having more than the dealer. The player is dealt two cards face-up and the dealer is dealt two cards, but one of the dealer's cards is face down and remains unknown until it's the dealers turn. The player takes a turn first, having to make the decision whether to draw another card or stand, i.e. end their turn. Once all players have taken their turn, the dealer flips over the face-down card and if the total of the two cards is less than 17 - the dealer must draw cards until either the total reaches 17 or more or the dealer's total goes over 21, in which case the dealer busts and all remaining players (players who have not bust) win. If a player's first two cards total 21 (an Ace and a face card or and Ace and a 10), the player gets blackjack and is paid according to the blackjack payout rules posted right on the table. But if both the player and the dealer have blackjack - the player simply takes the bet back, i.e. the bet is a push.

How do you know your total? Simple - just by adding your cards. Face cards and 10 all equal 10 points, Ace could be either 1 or 11 and the rest of the cards correspond to their face value. As you can see, it's very easy to play blackjack and with the online casinos - it's even easier. The software counts and displays the cards total for you and informs you if you've won or lost. You can practice playing blackjack without risking any money at any of the online casinos we have listed on our main page. Each of the casinos have a free version where you can practice the table games with fake money, just for fun.
